Below are a few examples of how a director might choose to organize these pieces for concert use in a given school year, as well as in a two-year period.
When comparing band programs throughout the country, there is enormous variation in ability level. Some bands would be able to perform some of these pieces with their first-year players, while other bands may not be able to perform this level of music until their second or even third year. For the purpose of this example, it's assumed that the first set of pieces is for second-year players and the second set of pieces is for third-year players.
